Like much of the country we’re experiencing cold temperatures. “Snow” fell overnight; not the fluffy fun-to-play-in snow we were all hoping for, but a skiff of little pellet-like flakes. Still, snow is snow, so we bundled up and headed outside to explore for all of 15 minutes or so (half the time it took to get dressed, of course).
Now the east wind has picked up and we’re cozied up inside with blankets and books—the perfect cold weather combination. Split pea soup is in the slow cooker for tonight’s dinner.
