csa week 6


Last week we got our first tomatoes and turnips, and the tasty treat of some fresh marionberries.  Other highlights were the broccolini (which I completely forgot about until I looked at this photo)–will have to figure out what to do with that, baby artichokes, and a purple basil (made into pesto and frozen immediately).  I also caught up on all of the kale and other greens we were accumulating (also some from our garden, along with Swiss chard) by blanching it and freezing it to sneak into smoothies later!
