necessity is the mother of invention; discipline inspires creativity

If you don’t pick up your cars, trucks, and blocks when Mom asks you to, and you inform her that you “really don’t mind if she takes them away for three weeks or even six [totally his idea]” and she takes you at your word, you figure out pretty quickly that an empty tape dispenser makes a stellar choo-choo train.
Here’s to our future inventor!  Winking smile

  1. Wow. Just wow. Your post arrived in my inbox less than 15 minutes after my son's trains went away for a very. long. time. (for throwing them at the TV). In a strange way, nice to have a compatriot out there – at gives me hope that maybe my Moose will find something positive to learn or gain from his train-less state.

  2. Incredible! That's why I post things like this–to remind myself and others that life's not always as perfect as some blogs portray it! "Glad" to know someone else is in the same boat w/ me! Hope Moose finds acceptable creative ways to play too!
