It’s been colder than usual around here for what seems like weeks (we had our first rain in ages today)—the perfect opportunity for some outdoor exploring. We found patterns in frozen puddles,
listened to the ice crunch under our feet,
collected many sticks (one resembling the letter “Y”),
hiked our way to the bottom of the hill,
and back up again with many “little breaks” and “deep breaths” in between.
The untrained eye would not notice that both “a gopher and a beaver” had “dug their homes” in the bank beneath his feet.
We should most definitely do this more often.
