Success (so far)

No matter how many seeds I plant, their miracle never fails to amaze me . . . that strong plants capable of providing nourishment and enjoyment can grow from something as small as the tip of a pencil is, to me, a miracle.

IMG_6167That’s a broccoli sprout poking it’s head up in its egg carton cradle.  Kale, tomatoes, lettuce, eggplants, and peppers are close behind. 

IMG_6364IMG_6367  Today, Spud helped me plant flowers: zinnias and calendula; as well as two kinds of basil.  Tomorrow we finish the herbs!
